The Diploma in Computer Engineering is designed to produce a medium for the new technician with the latest computer skills and information technology with the aim of addressing emerging technological changes. Many people in developed, developing countries, as well as those in developed countries, have been given the emphasis on the widespread use of computers. Computer Engineering has been providing worldwide development and creating jobs or jobs in the public and private sectors.

This curriculum is designed to promote the knowledge and skills required by computer engineering professionals and industry and information technology organizations in Nepal. The Diploma in Computer Engineering program lasts for more than three years. Each year is divided into two semesters. There are six semesters in total over a three-year period.

First-year courses include basic science subjects such as physics, chemistry, and mathematics working in the field of Computer Engineering. It includes language courses such as Nepali and English that are used to communicate in the fields of computer engineering and information technology. The second year of the course focuses on the basic disciplines of computer engineering. Similarly, third-year courses consist of disciplinary courses and the application of skills and knowledge learned through the provision of large and small projects and elective courses in specific areas of computer engineering.

The lesson structure and lesson-related content that follows show the details of this curriculum. In short, this curriculum directs its developer to produce highly competent and highly sophisticated technical resources in the field of computer engineering.

The content of each curriculum determined by the curriculum is included according to the requirements "known and required". The content of the curriculum is defined at a lower level.

Purpose:

The program aims to produce middle-class employees in the computer field with a good academic experience equipped with complete technical skills that can withstand real-world situations.

Objectives:

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be empowered to:

Important Features:

Duration: The total time for this diploma in the computer engineering program is three years. Each year has two semesters of six months each. In addition, one semester consists of 19.5 study weeks including a probationary period. Practical study hours will be no less than 15 weeks per semester.

Target Group: The target group in this program will be all interested parties who have successfully SEE with English, Science, and Mathematics or Technical SLC (TSLC) the same and consistent.
Group size: The group size will be 48 (Forty-eight) in the range.
Moderate Teaching: The learning style will be in English and/or Nepali.

Attendance pattern: A minimum of 90% attendance in each subject is required to appear in the final examination.

Background paper provision: There will be a background paper offer but the student must pass all the subjects for the whole semester within six years from the date of registration; however, there should be a provision for the assessment of opportunities for final semester students in accordance with CTEVT rules.

Pass marks: Students must secure a minimum of 40% marks in both theory and practice. In addition, learners must ensure low pass marks in the internal assessment and final assessment of each subject in order to pass the subject.

Qualification:

SLC Pass or BONA with C in a lower grade in Compulsory Mathematics & Science and D + in English.

TSLC is a computer engineer with a minimum of 67.00%.

Acceptance Responses:

You must pass an entrance test as regulated by CTEVT.

Job Facilitate:

After completing a diploma in computer engineering courses, a student will gain knowledge by understanding computer languages, programs, software, and computer hardware as well as technical knowledge. With the advancement of IT in the modern world, all departments in government and in the private sector need the help of computer engineers and computer engineers.
Graduates will be able to obtain a position equivalent to Non-gazetted 1st class (technical) as Information Officer or as stipulated by the Nepal Public Service Commission. The qualification will be able to be registered with the relevant Council in the grade as provided in the relevant Council Act (if any).

The Current Status:

There is a huge specific employment opportunity available in the Computer Engineering industry. It has been found that very many Computer Engineering graduates are employed. Some graduates have developed computer software / commercial components and are working on them. Some of them are involved in software development, such as accounting software.

Subject Structure:

The Diploma in Computer Engineering is based on the work required by a specialist in knowledge related to various industries and organizations in Nepal.

The first-year course focuses on basic subjects; The second-year course focuses on the basic disciplines of computer engineering. Similarly, the third year contains disciplinary studies including selected items. In addition, the third year focuses on the application of skills and knowledge learned as small and large projects.

Basic subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are included in the field of computer engineering. It includes language courses such as Nepali and English that are used to communicate in the same area.

The disciplinary courses offered in this program are included in all semesters. Make provision for large and small projects and selected courses in specific areas of computer engineering.
