The Diploma in Agriculture Program aims to produce intermediate / animal / agricultural professionals to meet the need for farmers' national technology and animal husbandry transformation.
The Diploma in Agriculture is a three-year program in the hands of a three-year program that prepares students to manage a farm or work in an agricultural business. The courses cover everything from agricultural production to marketing and business management. Students will develop the communication and leadership skills needed to advance in the industry whether in marketing and financial services, livestock and crop management, crop management, agricultural marketing, or farm management.
CTEVT has been implementing a program to add more high schools and currently, the Government of Nepal will introduce and 2 levels of agro-vet specialists in high schools in subjects from class 9. To effectively implement these programs, agro-vet professionals are highly encouraged and sought after.
Purpose:
This course aims to produce a medium-sized human resource base with agricultural knowledge and skills and integrated courses.
Objectives:
- provide technical knowledge and skills in various aspects of agriculture, agribusiness, and crop protection through community and business development
- to produce state-of-the-art equipment to provide technical and administrative services to the public and private sector
- developing skills in agribusiness-related businesses
- to provide a comprehensive sector-based experience to meet the growing needs of various agricultural stakeholders and agro-farmers.
Important Features:
1. Average Commandments:
The study method will be in English and/or Nepali.
2. Study Time:
The duration of the course will be three years. The first-year course is called a basic course and the second and third-year courses as included courses. One academic year consists of 39 weeks of study. During the 39 weeks, students will attend internal teaching, practical classes, and final exams. Another 13 weeks will go on holiday/winter and other holiday holidays and one study week consists of 40 hours.

40 students in one group
4. Attendee Pattern:
Students must protect at least 90 percent of class attendance and 95 percent attendance in field service to appear in the annual and final examinations.
5. Grading System:
The following grading system will be accepted:
- Divide: 80% and above
- First category: 65% to less than 80%
- Pass classification: 40% in the concept of learning and 60% in practical terms
6. Certificate
The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training will issue "Diploma in Agriculture" certificates to graduates who successfully meet the requirements set by CTEVT.
Quality:
At least Grade C is protected from any two subjects namely Compulsory Mathematics, Compulsory Science or English, and D + in the remaining subjects for the Examination Certificate (SLC) examination at a recognized institution.
Reception Answers:
The entryways are:
- School Leaving Certificate (SLC) in phase two.
- Admission tests will be arranged to test student entry qualifications, which will be administered by CTEVT.
- The final selection will be made based on the eligibility list. Student allocations for various categories should be adjusted according to CTEVT policies.
Applicants will submit the following documents at the time of application:
- SLC certificate passed
- Character certificate
- Certificate of citizenship (only verification of student name, parent name, age, date of birth, and address)

Potential camps are available for setting up animal clinics. Job opportunities will be seen in GON, NARC, NGO / NGO, commercial bank / viz development bank, Nepal bank, ADB / N, and other countries.
